Our Story
We Started Because We Loved Hawaii Too Much to Watch It Be Done Wrong
Tour Hawaii was founded in 2004 by a group of Hawaii residents who kept watching visitors spend their vacations in tour buses, hotel lobbies, and the same three beaches on every island. They knew there was a better way — and they built it.
Twenty years later, we've helped more than 50,000 guests experience Hawaii in a way that feels real. Not the postcard version. The version where you're standing at the edge of a lava field at sunrise, or watching spinner dolphins from a kayak in Kealakekua Bay, or eating the best poke of your life at a counter in Hilo that doesn't have a sign.
Every guide on our team lives here. We know which helicopter operator has the best safety record. We know which Road to Hana stops are worth the time and which ones are just parking lots. We know the farmers market vendor who makes the best banana bread on Maui, and we'll tell you exactly when to get there before it sells out.

Aloha Refund Policy
Travel plans change. We offer full refunds for cancellations 48 hours or more before your tour, no questions asked. We'd rather earn your trust than your money.
Curated, Not Crowded
We keep group sizes small and work only with operators we've personally vetted. If we wouldn't put our own family on a tour, it doesn't appear on our site.
